Beware of Heat-Related Illness

Extremely hot temperatures are affecting the eastern United States. Heat illness is not only debilitating, but it can also be deadly. The current dangerous heat wave is affecting states from as far south and west as Texas to states as far north and east as Maine. Outside temperatures are ranging from 90 to over 100 degrees. In humid areas, the heat index may go well beyond the actual temperature and can increase the danger of heat-related illness significantly (even if the actual temperature decreases over the next few days).
